It’s been over 2 weeks since #pbevent and I’ve been soooo busy with #yoga, #backtowork, #twofathersdaylunches, #alittlebitsick, #life, that I’m only getting around to sharing some thoughts.
So I thought I’d put some of the best learnings from the great speakers into a 2 min video.
To learn (Problogger style) ย is to stretch ourselves, to balance thinking with drinking (opps, I mean doing), to sit with things even when they feel uncomfortable, to try even when we don’t succeed.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned lately?
Linking up with Essentially Jess for IBOT.
Cheers

Great video Kathy. Wish I had been there but love all the take always shared xx deb
Wish you were there too Deb – but we will catch up.
Balance thinking with drinking. Hehe. The biggest thing I took away was how I now feel like I belong to a community ๐ I hadn’t clarified the belief in my mind before.
I think I needed a few drinks to unwind after a big day of learning and ready for the second day. I agree that the sense of community is the strongest take-away from Problogger. I felt it profoundly in 2013 and it was again to the fore this year. X
Aren’t you very clever!!! What a great video! And yes to changing someone’s day first and counting people not numbers!!!
They were two of my favourite quotes from so many words of wisdom shared.
Love this! I love that even though PBevent is essentially a blogging even about how to make money from blogging, there is still the message about remembering your community. When it all boils down to it, without the community, there is no money and to build that community you have to be you, because no one wants another carbon copy.
You’re right Tegan – of course you can get hung up on not making money when others are, but the essence is always community – and it’s what everyone loves, even those who do make a nice living.
Awesome video Kathy. So great to see the fabulous inspiration that Problogger was, even if I experienced from the outside looking in.
Thanks Alicia. Hope there are some wise words that you can take away.
You’re so clever, Kathy. I just love that quote from Chantelle. Strategy is out, happiness is in. Suits me fine ๐ Visiting via #teamIBOT
I loved that quote too Renee – and Chantelle really is so down to earth isn’t she. X
Beautiful message. That is what it’s all about, the hearts and minds not the eyeballs and the numbers.
That is one of my favourite messages from the conference because it resonates with what I feel – who wants site traffic if you have no connection.
Great way to encapsulate all the info for those of us who missed out. Thanks Kathy.
It seems a lot of people took away a lot of the same stuff.
Thanks Jess – I do think that sense of building community comes through to just about everyone.
That I should have went to Problogger this year! Kicking myself. I’ll be first in line nest time around.
It is a shame you weren’t there as you, Emily from Have and Laugh on Me and Pinky would have been cracking up together. We did have some good laughs, especially at the cocktail party. Next year!
